The 012 service line of the Government of Catalonia has won the 2010 award for best public helpline in Spain awarded by the Spanish Association of Experts in Customer Contact Centers as part of the Call Center + CRM Solutions Conference held in Madrid.
The implementation of multi-channel e-government services by the Government of Catalonia C3Cat also received an honourable mention at the 2010 international Stockholm Challenge Awards. Gencat was among the top four initiatives in the world in the category of public administrations.
The honourable mention awarded by the jury at the Stockholm Challenge 2010 stated: "Gencat shows that e-government can improve administrative efficiency and increase utility for the public. The citizen-centred approach is unique in that it includes the use of Web 2.0 technologies to promote transparency, communication and participation. In an age of budget cuts, we would like to stress the importance of continuing with this excellent project (...) Gencat is an impressive and successful project that we would like to see expand and improve."
These awards for the public services provided by the Government of Catalonia are added to numerous awards received over the last five years, in which Gencat has created and implemented the C3Cat method as a strategy for innovation in e-government.
