60 grants will be awarded to universities, research centres and hospital foundations located in Catalonia for the recruitment of post-doctoral researchers in the Catalan system of science and Technology for up to 2 years.

Universities, research centres and hospital foundations located in Catalonia are eligible for this call. Technology centres, support centres for technological activity and technology dissemination centres are excluded from this call.

The application, in accordance with the standard document, must be filled in by the professor or researcher of the host research group who will act as tutor of the candidate and the research project, and will be responsible for the submission of the application through the Virtual Procedures Office (OVT). The application cannot be uploaded before the period for submission of applications is open (from 09/09/2013 to 30/09/2013). At that moment the link that allows the access to the submission of proposals through the VPO will be found on this website.
Each candidate or researcher in charge can only submit a proposal at one time for any of the modalities of this call.

Adressed to:
Researchers who have obtained a PhD degree between the 01/01/2007 and 31/12/2011 (defined as having read and been awarded their PhD) or between 01/01/2005 and 31/12/2011 if they can justify a period of maternity or paternity leave, having had children under six-year-old under their care, people with physical, mental or sensorial disability or people over sixty-five dependent on the beneficiary and who require special care, or having suffered a serious illness, or accident causing a sick leave for 6 months or longer.
All candidates must meet the following requirements:
a) Have at the moment of joining the host organization, a minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience outside Spain and in a university or research centre other than the university or centre where the candidate took and performed their PhD degree. Stays may have been done in different institutions as long as they fulfil a two-year period.
b) Have at least one original publication in journals or publishers of reference in their field of knowledge as a first author or co-author at the moment of the call deadline.
c) Not have resided or carried out their main activity in Spain for more than 12 months in the last two years prior to the deadline for proposal submission.

The grant funds the recruitment of the post-doctoralresearcher for a period of 24 months. The beneficiary organizations must formalize the contract within the period from the date of publication of the awarding resolution on the AGAUR notice board and 1st October 2014.

The amount of the grant for the recruitment of the researcher is 85.022,40 euros which includes all compulsory social security contributions and all employer's charges as well as direct taxes (e.g. income tax) from the gross amount. The organisations, if they deem it fitting, may increase the salary of the research personnel recruited using their own funds.
In addition, a contribution to the training expenses of the researcher up to 6.000,00 euros for the whole period of the grant. This contribution is managed by the host organization for expenses related to the participation of the researcher in research and training activities during the two years of the grant.

Submission deadline:
The period for submitting applications will start September, 9th and will finish September, 30th 2013.

Submission process:
Applications must be submitted online at the Virtual Citizen Care Office (OVT).
The standard application form consists of a general form and an annex document that will be attached to the general form.

Call results:
The awarding resolution will be officially published on the AGAUR notice board and on the AGAUR website for information purposes only.

The submission of the application will require to fill in and submit on-line via the Virtual Citizen Care Office (OVT) the standardized form and a template proposal document entitled "Annex to the Application". If the process of on-line submission is completed correctly, requirements or paperwork submission will be needed.
The application must be written in Catalan, Spanish or English.

This grant is co-financed by the European Comission through the Marie Curie-COFUND actions of the People Programme of the Seventh Framework Programme of Research and Technological Development of the European Union. The researchers recruited within this grants programme are also considered Marie Curie fellows and will not be able to benefit at the same time from more than one Marie Curie Action funded by the European Commission.
