Types of grants

  • Scholarships and grants for university students

    For students of the 1st and 2nd cycle, as well as postgraduate studies, in Catalan universities to facilitate their access to the university and their mobility. It also includes university loans and grants for association activities.

  • Pre-doctorate scholarships and grants

    For 3rd cycle students for the training of research staff and for job placement in the world of research. Moreover, it includes wage scholarships and contracts of employment, as well as travel allowances and loans.

  • Post-doctorate scholarships and grants

    For doctors for the purpose of research visits outside Catalonia or for joining organisations in Catalonia that engage in research or innovation activities. This also includes wage scholarships and contracts of employment.

  • Grants to administration and service personnel

    For facilitating the mobility of administration and service personnel of Catalan universities and of personnel in public administrations linked to research.

  • Research support grants

    For supporting research groups in Catalonia, to promote human resources, improve research infrastructure, the funding of projects in certain areas, as well as other actions for the development and dissemination of research.

  • Support grants to training

    To fund training activities in higher education and in information and communication technologies (ICT), as well as to improve teaching quality.

  • Other grants and awards

    Grants to promote the use of Catalan language in the university and research setting. Awards for promoting pre-university research and the extension of free software.
