First steps

• Research and select the studies you want to follow and the universities where they are taught. You can do this using the studies search engine.
• Consult the requirements, documents, dates and other information at the relevant bodies in university matters.
• Collection of academic documentation -certificates, qualifications, etc. at the institute or school in the country where the student has studied. You will need the relevant documentation that accredits the start or end of the studies with the signatures of the authorised people.
• If necessary, go ahead with the legalisation and translation of the documents. Once they have been legalised, the documents will have to be translated into Spanish by a sworn Spanish translator-interpreter or at the Spanish consulate or diplomatic office in your country.
• Send the documentation to the organisations or institutions responsible for dealing with and processing them.
• Apply for a visa, medical insurance, etc., to prepare the final procedures and your arrival in Catalonia.
