112 renews its corporate image to include, for the first time, all emergency vehicles
The 112 emergency telephone service has been given a new corporate image. The new logo, which can be applied to any medium, was designed by Claret Serrahima, winner of several LAUS awards and the 2010 National Design Award.
The new logo will be phased in gradually, starting with all the vehicles used by the emergency services: Catalan Autonomous Police, Catalan Autonomous and Barcelona City Fire Departments, Rural Police and Medical Emergencies System, Barcelona City Police and other local police departments.
The 112 call care and management system is the European phone number for dealing with citizen emergencies of any nature (police, medical, fire and rescue, road accidents and environmental issues).
The new 112 Emergency Call Centre, a 15,000 m2 building located in Reus, is to be inaugurated shortly and shall be manned with a total workforce of 500.
