
Since the start-up on 5 February of this year, Lleida-Alguaire airport has welcomed 42,420 passengers, of whom 39,606 have flown on commercial flights to Mallorca and Paris with Vueling, to Milan and Frankfurt with Ryanair and to Menorca and Ibiza with Air Nostrum and 13 charter flights. The rest are 1,510 general aviation and crew and 1,304 general aviation pilots.
Of the six destinations that have operated, the one with most passengers was Palma de Mallorca with 11,406 passengers, followed by Frankfurt with 8,855, Paris in third place with 8,625 and Milan in fourth with 8,422. It is important to remember that the Palma and Paris routes came into operation in March, while Frankfurt and Milan started in April.
In the summer months, the airport reached 22,573 passengers. The month with the most activity was August with 8,952 travellers, followed by July with 6,349 passengers. During these two summer months, where there were also flights to Ibiza and Menorca, 721 and 859 passengers respectively travelled.
Lleida -Alguaire Airport is a key infrastructure for promoting and boosting the economy and development of the areas of Lleida, Alt Pirineu and Aran, as well as Andorra. This new infrastructure serves to expand tourism and to foster various services, logistics and business activities.
